Just now came to know from FB that Prof. Ramnarayan Shukla is no more. I had not met him for a long time, but I used to get news through Shashank ji. The Hindi department of Banaras Hindu University that we saw as a student (1994-2000), he had a unique personality. He had a strong ideology not only in study-teaching but in the course of his life. His life readily available to the students was very meaningful. He will always be remembered as a true democratic teacher, social worker, cultural worker.

Dr. Chandrabhan Singh (Student)

We used to have friendly relations with sir with being guru to us too. You had amazing teaching skills with serious knowledge of the subject. Democracy was in your writings as well. Whenever we will discuss his ideas and principles, he will remain alive. Regards.

Mr. Shivshankar Mishra

Story Writer

Got the news of his passing away today. One day everyone has to become imperishable, but the karma remains. It is true that a life full of struggles and ironies did not give him much time, yet he will always be known for his poetry-like prose language of 'Janvadi Geeton Ki Bhumika' and his logical analysis of 'Janvadi Samajh aur Sahitya'.

Fortunately, I got the chance to work with Dr. Shukla ji for a few years. We got to learn a lot from him. We were also associates in the working committee of Satish Chandra College. I am saddened by his death and offer my heartfelt condolences.
